Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
General Purpose of Job:
The maintenance person is responsible for maintaining the equipment in proper working order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
Performs necessary maintenance duties
Industrial Electrical knowledge
Mechanically inclined
Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Able to communicate with suppliers and technical support
Able to purchase necessary supplies within allotted budget
Maintains work area clean and orderly
Able to use time clocks correctly and effectively
Able to be at work on time
Works safely and abides by all safety rules
Responsible for accuracy and completeness of work to ensure customer satisfaction
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable. Industrial Technologies training desirable.
Language Skills:
Ability to speak and read English. Good communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract four digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out one or two step instructions. Ability to work unsupervised.
